MINGLE LOG | WEEK ONE
THE GREAT GAME
The morning breaks. Regardless of where you decided to sleep, the gentle sounds of the water flowing through the courtyard teases you from your slumber, pulls you forward. Patience waits on the top of the steps leading from the courtyard to the altar room, hefty scroll in hand. It isn't until all of the competitors have gathered that she taps the end of the scroll in her open palm contemplatively.
"Good morning, everyone. As of right now, the Contest of the Gods has officially begun. The initial rankings are as follows:"
Patience unfurls the scroll and reads its contents aloud. As she does, the text etches itself into the polished white stone columns that line the courtyard.
Rerolling the scroll and storing it up her voluminous sleeves, she takes a deep breath and stretches her arms over her head. "Ooooookay! With that out of the way, I have just a few more announcements, then we'll call this golden and you can all enjoy the rest of your week of conspiring and sabotaging. Let's see..."
Patience taps a finger to her masked chin, then snaps her fingers.
"Right! First of all, you can now hold council with any of the gods of your choosing. This goes two ways, so don't be surprised if one of them decides to approach you first. Secondly," she holds up two fingers, "whichever power that you've decided to accept from your chosen god is now available for you to use at your own discretion. If you have any questions about that, I can try and answer the best I can, buuut you're better off approaching the god who came up with it in the first place."
A third finger goes up. "Next, there are a few more things you should keep in mind with the start of the contest. You may decide, be expected, or receive a request to complete different tasks in the favor of your patron god. If you for any reason are unhappy with your current alignment, at the end of the week you'll have an opportunity to defect from your following and pledge yourself to someone else's. Many of the gods will try to convince you directly or indirectly through their own followers to join their team to bolster their ranks, but it will always be your choice whether or not to do this, so take your time and think it over...you never know what the consequences may be when you break a vow of loyalty." A slight pause, and then, "oh, right, curfew's at 10PM every Thursday night. Lame, but make sure you're snuggled away by then or you might wake up to an unpleasant surprise."
With a great gasp and then a squeal of delight, Patience begins to clap her hands together, bouncing from foot to foot. "Okay, great, now the fun part! I made something really great, so come join me, okay? If you want to talk, you'll find me in the room at the end of the east hall!"
With that, nobody feels compelled to stay any longer, and will be free to explore. True to her word, it seems as if the east and west halls have regained the doorways that had been missing from their blank faces. But...aside from that, it seems like something may be missing, as well.

You're pretty vague on the tasks.

[Ignoring him (sorry), she pushes her way through the cafe door.]
Let's just find a table first. Who wants to stand around in the street?

[Because it's full of so much food tbh.]
So much to do--okay, maybe not so much here, but I only had time to fill in so much space, and keeping all this up is tiring. What are you in the mood for? It's literally my treat!

What do you recommend? I've got some things I want to ask you, anyway.

[ Yu is smiling warmly as he steps up beside the god. ] If that's the case, the answer is yes, of course.

[Even though her mask can't change expression, her voice is cheerful. It's clear that she's smiling.]
Why don't I let you pick what you think looks the tastiest?

[After all, it's not like she really eats or anything; I'm going to say robots can taste things but the eating thing really isn't a thing. Not that that stops Luna from going into the food establishments and rubbernecking. That's the best place to find humans and other organic beings congregating, after all.
And gods, apparently.]
